Tarta Original® backrests
A pinnacle of Italian industrial design, the Tarta Original® backrest system is customisable to suit individual needs. The upper parts of the back are flexible, allowing for natural movement of the body, while the lower parts can be locked to give excellent lumbar support.
There are four sizes: S, M, L, XL and beyond this, each one can also be of a different type. “Standard” with semi-enveloping slats, for an extreme freedom of movement and a pleasant and comfortable rest; or “Contour”, similar to sports car seats, offering lateral support thanks to the different lengths and curvature of the slats. Now you can truly find the right solution that will best suit your individual needs.

How it works
One of the primary characteristics of the Tarta® system is the advanced level of adaptability and personalisation options. It is possible to apply slats of different shapes and measurements to your desired number of vertebrae. On each vertebra, it is also possible to choose different kinds of padding.
Construct your own Tarta® according to your own individual needs! All Tarta® materials are studied with the objective of achieving the best possible performance. The harmonic steel used within the vertebrae is able to “memorise” the original position when subjected to distortion, giving Tarta Original® flexibility and resistance.
The padding is fixed to the structure with Velcro, making it easy to interchange. The fibre material the chairs are lined with is also highly breathable for total comfort.
